My interest was originally in plants, especially in grasslands and fynbos in South Africa. But it evolved to include insects over the last couple of years, as they are so diverse and beautiful and (sometimes) sit still for you to take a photograph. I am intrinsically a curious person. I like asking questions, and get a kick out of learning something new. I take pictures with a 'point and shoot' Canon camera i.e. nothing fancy. It must be small enough to go everywhere I go, and robust enough not to require special attention.
