I have been interested in nature since before I could read. My mother showed me pictures of birds and told me their names. I learned to whistle some of their calls so well that I could draw them in close. That got me started on a life-long interest in nature. My walks are taking longer these days because I stop and take pictures and record songs. What a joy!
