I have loved birdwatching since my youth. I can remember my first sighting of a Snowy Owl on Long Island's Jones Beach, New York, I was hooked from that moment forward. Unfortunately, I was not active for many decades because I was taking care of my day-to-day activities between a family, work and everything in between.

In 2018, I retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving 38 years on active duty and as a government service employee. I was a Public Affairs multimedia chief and in my active duty years I traveled the world as a photojournalist. I loved my job and honest can't believe I got paid to take photos and write stories.

Photography is my passion, I have photographed heads of state, been in combat camera environments, taken thousands of portraits, did the wedding photography thing, event photography and of course taken photos to accompany my news and feature stories.

Finally, my two loves (photography and birdwatching) have collided with the highest enthusiasm to carry me into the next chapter of my life.

I am looking forward to creatively explore God's beautiful wonders in the sky with my camera and I am equally excited to learn and meet new friends here. Currently, I live between Cave Creek (north of Phoenix), Arizona and Las Vegas, Nevada.
