I am a biologist in my day job and a biologist in the evenings and on weekends when I'm off work. I've been a herpetologist since I was 7 yo, studying snakes in NC through undergraduate school at UNC. Then I moved to CA, went to grad school, and branched out into native plants. Much of my "spare" time is spent conducting taxonomic research, mostly on plants in the Lamiaceae (mint family). I am right partial to the genus Monardella, oh, and herps too.
