Middle school life science teacher, environmental scientist (by degree), amateur botanist, enthusiast of all things from the sage-steppe & deserts of the western U.S. Ran 117 miles (self-supported) across Owyhee County, Idaho over three days in May 2018, in part to help raise awareness about the cold deserts of the Western U.S. and their amazing communities of animals and plants. I do most of my observing while trail running, backpacking, and whitewater rafting.
