I am fortunate to teach kindergarten among the beautiful redwoods of far northern California, with five acres of mature second growth forest on my school campus. Prior to teaching, I utilized my botany degree to perform a variety of plant, aquatic, and avian surveys throughout the Pacific Northwest. In addition to teaching I also co-facilitate a Next Generation Science Standards collaborative for my county office of education.
