A keen volunteer with the Remutaka Conservation Trust, I am a kiwi handler on our kiwi project, a mustelids trapper, and I manage the Catchpool Restoration Project down at the southern end of the park where we maintain a nursery and we're planting thousands of native trees each year with the help of corporate volunteers and school groups.
As one of several members on the Steering Committee for our Catchpool Eco-Hotspot and 'Joining the Dots' Project, we are heavily engaged in all aspects of forest monitoring at present following the first-ever (for the Southern Remutakas) 1080 treatment in July 2017.
