Being an ex-IT geek and having liked to dabble in photography as well as having a cousin who works for the Nature Conservancy... I was motivated to document the diverse wild lifeforms in the Edgewater Community where we live.

As the saying goes, the best camera is the one you have with you. So most of the observation photos I have made were taken with my cell phone, currently a Google Pixel 7 Pro. It works very well in most lighting conditions when photographing plants and animals. But for birds, depending on the birds distance, I often use a Sony A6000 with a 55mm-210mm zoom lens.
