Ray Fisher Curator

Post-doc at University of Arkansas studying mite taxonomy, morphology, and evolution. Although mites take up much of my time these days, I am broadly interested in many groups, especially herps (including birds) and arthropods. Of arthropods, I have useful experience (at least for US species) in these groups: flies, aquatic insects, parasitoid wasps, singing insects (crickets, katydids, cicadas), springtails, mites (especially Prostigmata), spiders, centipedes, freshwater crustacea, woodlice, and crayfish. I am always learning new groups and am currently trying to gain local familiarity with the following: mosses, dragonflies, crabronid wasps, ants, and backyard moths.
