I am a retired educator, but during my career as an educator I found wildlife photography a great hobby to help with the stress of being a teacher, then assistant principal and finally a principal. I found that my lens was, more often than not, pointed at birds. Bird photography became a bit of an obsession for me. However, iNaturalist first was a place to record wildlife observations other than birds. I am now including birds as well. I plan trips around what wildlife I may see. I am always learning, and love to observe wildlife in its natural environment.
