"I love the smell of Smilax in the morning."

Am mainly a hobbyist with a passion for Wildflowers. Started getting interested in Botany in 1990 and have been pursuing it ever since. I live in Columbia, SC, and my favorite places are Congaree National Park, 40 Acre Rock in Lancaster County, Peachtree Rock in Lexington County, Harbison State Forest, and Three Rivers Greenway in Richland County. Also spend time in the SC and NC Mountains where my first love of Botany began. I'm also in Friends of the Congaree, SC Association of Naturalists and Carolina Butterfly Society. Also I retired 9 years ago and have much more time to spend in the woods.
