Dried intermittent pond in pine savanna. Culm 50cm, filiform, 0.5mm thick. Basal leaves 30cm, filiform. Inflorescence a terminal turbinate cluster of spikelets. Bract short but exceeds inflorescence. Spikelet 3mm, 1 fruit per spikelet. Achene biconvex, smooth, with glassy "eye," 1.2mm x 0.7mm + 0.6mm setose tubercle. Bristles extend to end of tubercle.
