Obs. No. 316/80
At hole c.4cm diam. - not own hole. Cloaca over hole, dropping eggs when 1st seen, disturbed & left hole. Guided back after 30 min. as appeared to have lost nest site.
180 contractions prior to dropping next egg. Intervals c.45 s to 125 s but total number not counted.
When completed appeared to push eggs together, then made attempts to scratch sand into hole but was moving forward so ineffectual! Moved c.40 cm away scratching a path, returned & started again - ate ant during laying.

Obs. over 1 hour including 1/2hr when lost hole. Contractions continued when off hole though no eggs dropped.
