Large Buttercup (Ranunculus macranthus)

Description

This specimen's flower has approximately 1.5-2cm in diameter and had radial symmetry. It was about a foot off the ground and had a very small stem. The specimen was found growing in a small group of its relatives along the Homestead Trail in McKinney Falls State Park. The specimens petals were very soft and delicate and the anthers and carpel were small and not very pronounced.
