Description

Rosa showing off her mighty strength - Montagu WCape

An oft-used pathway to Home Tree is from the guarri near it. If there's wind, then the branch of Home Tree is further away from the guarri.

These are stills from a little video I took of Rosa coming home.

Pic 1 is first attempt to reach Home Tree. Unable to reach, she decided to go to the ground and come up from the bottom, but she came across the birdbath on the way, and must have smelt the puffadder who'd been there just a couple of days before coz she did the waving thing where she ripples just the first third of her body.

Pic 2 Rosa goes back up the guarri and tries again.

Pic 3 Not being able to reach the branch, she collapses back down into the guarri (collapse is perhaps not the best word, as it suggests that she has no control over the movement which is completely false).

Pic 4 Rosa's third attempt at a slightly different angle.

Pic 5 Collapse from 3rd attempt.

Pic 6 Success! Rosa gets into Home Tree and snuggles up in a sparrow nest for the night :-)
