An almost intact valve of what was previously known here as the Giant Cockle or Smooth Crassatella. Found in eroded section of old fore-dune at Brighton South Beach, Adelaide. Numerous mostly broken bits of valve from this species often appear as beach-wash on the shores of southern metro Adelaide following gales.
