Two owlets tried branching. Unfortunately there were no trees in the vicinity, so they fell to the ground. Ravens were trying to get to the babies when a local raptor specialist sent out a call for help. We were able to safely gather the two babies and they will be taken to a rehab center for development and monitoring before being released. There may still be one baby in the nest, so we are keeping an eye on it from a distance. I have obscured the location to protect any remaining owlets. Once the nest is no longer being used, I will open the location back up.
