This single specimen was found on a dry evening - a few days after a rainfall event. No Breviceps were heard calling at the time. This one was attracted to an insect light trap (either to the light or the insects?).
The habitat is:
Loose sandy dune soils. Near the crest of the coastal dune. At the interface of grassland and young-stage dune forest. The micro-habitat is an area of low scrubby canopy with a layer of decomposed and semi-decomposed leaf-litter on the surface.
