Several dozen of these trees, many of which were in flower, were seen along the Barker Dam Nature Trail loop.

@jrebman , @grnleaf would you mind double checking this? Based on the blooming period and the appearance of the flowers, this looks more like a Honey Mesquite, but the wider, rounder leaves look to me like the description of Screwbean Mesquite. What do you think?
