This pair of Troupial are nesting with young in a group of Yellow-rumped Caciques at my farm. (according to Princeton Field Guides this is a common practice). This is one of the most beautiful and stunning birds in Peru along with the Gallito de la Roca (Cock of the Rock).
Note: the white spots on the black wings! (may be slightly different from the Venezuelan, but almost the same)
Note: the yellow on the breast running down to the tail.
