Bird was hit by a car and given to me to rehabilitate. We had the bird for a couple months, but it was still unable to fly. It escaped outside into a wood pile.
The exact date of this photo was unknown. My wife was pregnant at the time so it was late 1974 or early 1975. My son was born a few months after the bird escaped which was probably in March when it got away. We had the bird for 2-3 months. So the date is approximate and the site will not allow an estimate.
