Description

Gray blister beetle, presumed Epicauta(?) sp., feeding on (and possibly pollinating through its activities?) Opuntia polyacantha flowers.

Photo 2 shows the same flower 3.5 hours later... given that the flowers only last a day anyway, and assuming the flowers may get pollinated in the process(?), it seems like a very efficient system!
