Found on Bird Ridge in moist, rocky, well drained soils; ~8 to 10 meters tall, ~30-40 cm DBH; cones more like Sitka spruce (5-9 cm long, tawny, thin, irregularly toothed) but needles more like white spruce, i.e., 4 angled (I can roll them between my fingers), white lines on all sides. Hiking pole in first photo is 1.3 m tall.
