Native bee
Identified as Callohesma occidentalis on Bowerbird by Ken Walker: "Great to see that you recognised this insect as a bee as it does not carry pollen externally but rather it eats the pollen and stores it in the first segment of the stomach called the "crop". Many observers think of these bees as flies. I worked on these bees back in the late 1970s and they have always been a favourite. Thanks for sharing."
