Diamondback Water Snake (Nerodia rhombifer)

Came across a small, 8-10-inch long young Diamondback Water Snake at the park on our first visit to the site. Our theory (per the accompanying images) is that it was beheaded by the passing small railroad train that provides rides and entertainment. Of course this theory may be totally mistaken.
