The Common Bronzeback Tree Snake (Dendrelaphis tristis) is a non-venomous, harmless, diurnal and arboreal snake found in peninsular india.

it can be easily identified by checking following morphological characters : Snout broadly rounded, 5th and 6th labials touching the eyes. Bronze brown dorsally and ventral and upper lip colour is yellowish-white. Dendrelaphis tristis feeds on Lizards (Agamids, Geckos and Scincids), Bird Eggs, Frogs and sometimes even small snakes.
