Male asilid

I don't recall seeing this species before--the shape of the terminal appendages looked more elaborate than what I usually see.

He was tucked away a bit with some leaves in front and I was unable to get an unobstructed lateral view. I also saw Laphria macquartii but did not see any of the Promachus bastardii that I saw the other day at Colleyville Nature Center..
