I flushed a pair of whip-poor-wills while out photographing insects. They were lurking in a little brushy area in a sand prairie. One flew off, this one stayed and did a wing fluttering display with clucking sounds from a conspicuous limb -- also showing a white tail patch. I didn't see the 'nest' but typically it's little more than eggs on some oak leaf litter. Photos aren't that great, but I had a macro lens on the camera, and it was interesting to capture the distraction display behavior.
