Description

Rosette: monocarpic, sometimes branched at the base, sessile. Leaf: open sheath, strongly pseudo-petiolate (length 3–10 cm), adaxially glabrous, length 20–75 cm, width 2.0–10.0 cm, ratio 7–15:1, secondary nerves parallel, 4–12 mm apart. Inflorescence: terminal, compound, primary branching monochasial, corymboid-paniculate, length 50–200 cm, vegetative part copiously bracteate, about half of total length. Capitulum: diameter 12–15 mm, ligular circle 20–30(35), disc 10–14 mm, ray ligules yellow (photo Serge Aubert).
