Red-necked Avocet
Identified as Recurvirostra novaehollandiae on Bowerbird by Judy & Rob Peters: "Distinctive red neck with white body and black bands on wings in flight. Distinctive eye. Long thin beak with upwardly curved end. As they feed they shake their beek tip rapidly side to side. First time I have ever seen one of these birds."
