I was hiking along the LA River just across from Griffith Park when I spotted a small group of what seemed like small yellow legged shore birds. Very lightly built with long straight bills. However the bill did seem noticeably longer than the head length, and lighter at the base, which makes me think Greater Yellowlegs rather than Lesser Yellowlegs. What do you guys think?
