This bird was feeding down in the reedy grass and flew up into a medium sized (25 foot) tree growing on a island of silt, mid-river. Streaky, with some yellow in the basal beak extending up toward the eye, I believe it to be a juvenile. I later noticed evidence of a nest of twigs and leaves in the tree.
