This is probably one of the rarest springsnails I have ever seen. This species is extremely rare/scarce in its relative abundant habitat. I have searched for this species 6 or 7 times and was never able to find any. I was only able to find these by joining the NDOW biologist on a survey of the springs for this species. The NDOW biologist believes that the Red Swamp Crayfish, which are abundant at Corn Creek, are predating on the springsnails. We only found two at location after 20 minutes of searching.
