Not to brag or anything but... THESE ARE THE BEST PHOTOS I’VE EVER TAKEN! My grandfather and I went on our boat to the lake and took a bunch of pictures of a male and female pair. They were right by the protected loon nesting area, but I took these 3 months ago, so I don’t remember where that is exactly. I will give my best guess for placing this observation, but there are no guarantees. I only included the best pictures, though. Please, do your best to protect the birds and other wildlife around you. Loons are in desperate need of this protection and, if we’re not careful, these majestic creatures might not be around anymore. Some ways you can do your part in protecting them is by not making too many waves in the water near their nesting sites, not using lead fishing lures, keeping your distance, and even joining a loon protection group. There are plenty of them out there.
