This plant is in the family Fabaceae due to its specific floral anatomy - bilaterally symmetric flower with fused petals enclosing the ovary. Furthermore, I identified it as being in the genus Pultenaea due to the presence of 'scaly brown stipule bracts' as described in Robinson. Floral morphology was also a good match. Finally, the plant is Pultenaea stipularis due to the crowded leaves and flower colour as described in Robinson. I considered polifolia as an option however disregarded it as this species is smaller that my plant.
