Spooked this bird on the causeway at Clapp Park. From the pointed angled wings I thought it was a Nighthawk. Found it perched low in the branches at the edge of the lake and took photos. Am calling it a "black" Merlin because it sure looked like a falcon in flight and the size is about right.
