While at the LAUrbanBioblitz, we found several very large (15-20) mm solitary tunicates. They were blue/gray, with one siphon on the side and the other at the end of a long gray tube. Gretchen Lambert identified them as this species. I am guessing this could be the identity of this odd siphon above, which looks similar.
