(As a visitor to Mississippi, I’m unfamiliar with most fungi and trees found here. Fortunately there were signs that labeled most of the trees in the area I was in!)

Loblolly Pine (Pinus taeda)

Mockernut Hickory (Carya tomentosa)

Hawthorn (Crataegus phaenopyrum)

American sycamore (Plantanus occidentalis)

Yellow Poplar “Tulip Tree”(Liriodendron tulipifera)

Witch Hazel (Hamamelis virginiana)

White Oak (Quercus alba)
