Dr. Jim McConnel forwarded me a photo of Chilades pandava caterpillars feeding on emerging leaves of Cycas micronesica. Note the attendant ant. These caterpillars have honey glands which mediate a symbiosis with ants which protect them from attack by predators and parasites.
