Description

This was a target bird we hoped to see while in this area. Flammulated Flycatcher is a Mexican endemic bird limited to coastal thorn forests of western Mexico. It is seldom seen and even more seldom photographed. It is in a monotypic genus (Deltarhynchus) but apparently closely related to the Myiarchus. After several days of listening for this bird we finally heard one and were able to spend at least 30 minutes with it for some excellent images.
