Corticolous on Rhopalostylis sapida - associated with Megalaria maculosa and Pyrenula nitidula. Thallus white, lirellae short not branched. Ascospores I-, fusiform, 8 per ascus, (12-)14(-18) locular, 42.5 × 6-8 μm, locules tabular. Does not match any of the species currently accepted in the New Zealand Lichen Flora (Galloway 2007).
