Description

Everything has a silver lining... This pandemic has been great for catching up on sightings! Just finished a set of photos so let's do some maths :P

I've managed to upload 354 sightings in 27 days, which came from 1,486 unsorted photos. This is about 13 sightings per day or 55 photos per day.

Now, I have 30,599 unsorted photos, so it would take me another 556 days (about a year and a half) to sort all of them if I manage to keep this rate up!

BUT in these 27 days I have taken 341 photos total, so we must account for the accumulation of photos as well. Rate of photography is a bit under 13 photos per day, so this translates to an extra 7,022 photos by the time I've caught up. And so, like Zeno's Achilles, I must again catch up!

When, unlike Achilles, I eventually catch up, I will have sorted 39, 712 photos or roughly 9,460 sightings. And this will take me....

drumroll

722 days!

That's just under two years. So I'll be done by June 29th, 2022!

Let's hope the pandemic doesn't last that long....😂
