That's very useful, many thanks Marco!
Another one for Southern Africa - Swaziland's Flora
http://www.sntc.org.sz/flora/index.asp
Thank you @katebraunsd ! Didn't know that one, added it to the list.
What is the point of a project for a clearly defined area like a continent? Searching can achieve the same thing https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?iconic_taxa=Plantae&place_id=97392
@andrewgillespie one point might be to have the possibilty for this post associated with the project...
A great list. Why not include www.capriviflora.com ? Thanks
also useful is http://newposa.sanbi.org/sanbi/Explore
and some more general stuff

Many thanks for your suggestions!
A very big thank you to the curators of African flora for adding some of my observations to the group, I really appreciate your job
Thank y'all
Please add for Africa, seychellesplantgallery.com
Thank you!
https://www.capriviflora.com/index.php could still be added to the list
Thanks
It's listed in Southern Africa, roughly following the World Geographical Scheme for Recording Plant Distributions (https://web.archive.org/web/20160125135239/http://www.nhm.ac.uk/hosted_sites/tdwg/TDWG_geo2.pdf).
Is there a reason (a glitch) why the map includes many obs beyond Africa?
The fourth one I checked originally had a location in Africa, which was corrected to Europe - but it is still trapped in the Africa project.
I believe the reason is exactly that these observations once were located in Africa. Maybe the project should be converted to a collection project, but I am not completely sure what other implications that would have.
Maybe @jeanphilippeb can find us a way to correct the 'Out of Africa' ones?
Having just added this - I see the observer has to manually add to the project.
And has a gear icon to click for 'Remove from this project'
https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/149894891
I would be happy to work across the map - with a copypasta - if you wish?
(I do hate untidy distribution maps ...
I read a bit more about the project types and I think it is perfectly fine to convert to "collection project", then there should not be any observations included anymore that don't fit the criteria. I will do that in a few days if there are no objections.
@marcoschmidtffm and @dianastuder why not take control of this project https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/wild-and-naturalised-plants-of-africa
and also encourage local country projects as well ?
Yes, I could help removing observations that are out of Africa.
Conversion to a collection project (if it can match your needs) would be better, for fixing this issue and for avoiding to add manually future observations (and for sparing server ressources). But you would not be able to avoid inclusion of "opted-out" observations, as there is no filter for them. I don't know if this would be an issue for this project.
