iNaturalist updated to WOL v. 249
Hi Odonata enthusiasts,
iNaturalist is now up to date with WOL v. 249
All flags have been resolved except these two raised by @robert_taylor:

I've nudged @dennispaulson to try to get his thoughts on these two issues
Also thanks for bearing with me on the process for curating Odonata taxonomy. Here's a few updates:
1) I'm proposing we move these conversations from my personal journal https://www.inaturalist.org/posts/11694-world-odonata-list to this new project "Odonata Taxonomic Working Group"
2) I will continue my duties to keep iNat in sync with WOL by periodically updating the iNat taxonomy and will relay these updates to this project's journal as I'm doing here. If you want to receive these posts, please follow this project.
3) If you have an issue with a particular species, please flag the species. I'll do a better job keeping up on flags. I'll try to summarize flags here in the update posts.

@loarie, Thank you for starting this project and keeping the taxonomy up to date with WOL.
One other item to consider is the subspecies Anax imperator mauricianus which I propose is dropped as Anax imperator is generally considered monotypic - https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_swaps/31376
It appears that we can no longer add taxa as needed—I just tried to add some newly described species. What's the best way to ensure that they are created in iNat in a timely manner?

but please follow World Odonata List for the time being. I've been getting the kinks out a system that will make automating syncing with WOL easier and deviating if need be, but its not quite ready for showtime

Thanks, Scott. I assume that’s the Schorr/Paulson list at https://www.pugetsound.edu/academics/academic-resources/slater-museum/biodiversity-resources/dragonflies/world-odonata-list2/. The particular species I want to add are included there.

Scott, Just as an fyi, I am nearly there on an Odonate Species File. Dennis will be a co-author and help maintain it. I'm guessing you use species files for other groups to maintain the iNat taxonomy.
thats great news - yes we use Species Files for Orthoptera, Mantids, and Phasmids
@loarie Paragomphus obliteratus is not a species I am familiar with - however it appears to be a valid species see: Dijkstra & Clausnitzer 2004. Critical species of Odonata in Madagascar. International Journal of Odonatology? Will you add it to iNat?
