A jumble of bird sitings - late summer 2018 - December 8, 2018

There seems to be less Juncos this year.
Largest group so far - Tufted Titmice.
Smaller group Black capped Chickadees.
2-3 White Breasted Nuthatches - One male Mr Nutkin is the Boss! Ever patrolling. One female Mimi
Last week a pair MnF Cardinals - now another M has shown up. All seem to be very high alert. Whereas the summer brood MnF with single Dad feeding constantly were familiar with my activities. Dad disappeared (not surprising-he was none stop). Fledglings -Immatures stayed . Lost touch because of personal ‘stuff’.
Downy Woodpeckers MnF. Again during summer a female way here at suet to feed the family no fear. She brought the family and showed then how - after non stop feeding. Poor tired out Mom.
Carolina Wrens.
Gold finches
Pine Siskins. Here and gone n back again.
House finches (earlier this year a female had conjunctivitis. She roosted on porch. One eye almost closed. I made attempts to capture bring to Pocono wildlife rehab. No luck. Took feeders down and she disappeared. I couldn’t endanger all of the finches.
Red Breasted Woodpecker - mr suspicious
Some White throated sparrows.

No Tree Sparrows so far.

Earlier this year starting Sept? one day and gone obviously passing through :
Mourning Dove
Red breasted Nuthatch
White Crowned Sparrows Brown n black versions. (a first 4 me)
Purple Finches. A female was here solo the longest. A group of males were here for couple days.
** I think I saw a Three Toed Woodpecker In lilac tree went to suet - he just looked different from a hairy Woodpecker plus it seemed he had rounded tail tipped underneath with yellow. Sleeker profile. Couldn’t find any definitive info with that description. So still a mystery.

Local. Yellow breasted Sapsucker
Blue birds (less but had to takedown birdhouse.
Pileated Woodpecker.

And I’m sure just can’t think of
Will try n keep better journal from now on.
