Great First Day

Wow! What a great start to our 2019 Fall Bioblitz. 54 Observations with 42 different species identified thus far. Keep it up and keep on submitting through 12pm on Saturday. Weather at the end of the week is going to dramatically change field conditions, so earlier in the week will be our best opportunities at getting fauna observations.

First Day of 2019 Cibolo Nature Center and Farm Fall BioBlitz

What a way to start our Fall bioblitz! Temperatures really have cooled down for the first time since Spring.
We were at a cool 63.9 F this morning at 9am. Temperatures should be comfortable the rest of the week.
Come and join us!

Fall 2019 Wildlife Field Research (WFR) is around the corner

Looking forward to another data filled week of Citizen Science at the Cibolo Nature Center and Farm.

Our iNaturalist Bio-blitz will accept any and all observations during the week of WFR October 7th - 12th. With rain forecast this week, and (hopefully) a hot dry summer behind us, we look forward to some cooler fall temperatures and lots of critter activity.

Join us in for our bio-blitz on your own by participating in iNaturalist, or join one or more of our WFR events. Details can be found at https://givepul.se/qowuck

Getting ready for Spring 2019 Wildlife Field Research

Thank you for participating in the Spring 2019 Wildlife Field Research Bioblitz at the Cibolo Nature Center and Farm. Our research event has captured a lot of data about the four habitats and the critters that live here, but there are still many things we have not surveyed. By participating in this iNaturalist bioblitz you are helping to fill in the gaps on all of the flora and fauna that we do not have formalized surveys for. We especially do not have a lot of invertebrate data. We welcome you to submit observations of anything you find interest in, but are particularly interested in the insects at this point in time. Enjoy and have fun! Thank you!
