This project contains observations of plants found at Baltimore Woods Nature Center whose nativity is uncertain, either because the plant has not been identified down to a sufficient level or because there is uncertainty among the sources used to determine whether the plant is native to this region.
For example if an observation of Prunella vulgaris cannot be clearly identified down to the subspecies level, we wouldn't know whether it should be placed in the Native Flora of Baltimore Woods project or the Introduced Flora of Baltimore Woods project, so we would place it in this project, at least until further information is available.
For wild basil (Clinopodium vulgare), sources indicate that it's circumboreal, but in the southern part of North America, most plants were introduced from Eurasia, and the New York Flora Atlas indicates "Unknown Native Status," so it would also go into this project.
