Welcome to Amphibian Monitoring on iNaturalist!

Thanks so much to everyone who was able to attend last Saturday's Amphibian Monitoring training. This season will see our largest participation ever in Amphibian Monitoring with 68 people at the training and 85 people signed up on teams! Our 17 teams are geared up with hip waders, aquascopes, GPS units, and more, and are excited to get out to their sites to look for amphibians at all life stages. Check back here for findings!

Amphibian Project Pilot 2017 Kickoff

Woodland Park Zoo, with technical guidance from Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, the support of amphibian expert curators, and enthusiastic support from citizen scientists in King and Snohomish counties, is launching a new platform for a well-loved project! Want to get involved? Sign up here http://www.zoo.org/citizenscience to learn how to participate (training required to prevent the spread of amphibian diseases site to site and to protect sensitive habitats and species). For some great perspectives on previous years, see our December 12, 2016 blog: http://blog.zoo.org/2016/12/there-could-be-amphibians-in-your.html
