About
The Anita B. Gorman Conservation Discovery Center Biodiversity Inventory Project is designed to enhance our understanding of species diversity at the Anita B. Gorman Discovery Center Conservation Area in Kansas City. The goal is to empower Missouri citizens to learn more about and enjoy the biodiversity that is all around them. Data obtained from this project will be used in interpretive programs and in helping Missouri Department of Conservation staff make management decisions for the area.
The Discovery Center is a unique, hands on urban nature center in the heart of Kansas City. The 10-acre area is an example of how to incorporate native landscapes into a urban area. Take the Wild Side Walk through the native plant gardens and get a glimpse of habitats that wildlife call home.
