~Final Project~

Hello class!

It is now that time of year to begin thinking about our final project for the end of this semester!

What I want you to do:

Pick 3 of your observations (or more than 3 = extra credit option) that you have taken on the Aptos Middle School grounds this semester.

For each observation, I want you to draw the plant/animal/insect you observed on a sheet of paper (one sheet of paper for each observation please).

On the reverse side of each drawing, you need to write the date you took the observation, followed with: additional information you research about the species (i.e. description of the species, habitat of the species, food it may eat [if it is an animal/insect], and any other interesting information about the species you can find such as medicinal or popular uses? unique species behavior? Is the San Francisco Bay Area even the species native habitat? If no, how did the species get here from its native location/where did the species originate from)?

When you complete this part of the assignment, you will then pin your observations on the school campus map that will be posted in class. This will allow everyone at school to see what the current natural environment of Aptos Middle School is through all of your observations. You will then explain your findings to the class in a short 2-3 minute presentation about your findings

I look forward to seeing your creativity flow!
